Supporting Gifted Learners - Education Gazette

A team of Resource Teachers: Learning & Behaviour (RTLB) are working with Al-Madinah Senior School in South Auckland to investigate how they can support a group of gifted and talented learners.

The Cluster Manager is working with a team to review evidence-informed programmes that support schools to meet their student well-being needs resulting from COVID. This will include looking at systems, processes, and programmes that you have found to be working in your school. We have surveyed cluster schools to gather the information we need from you about what has worked and is working. We have used this information to develop guidelines for requesting specific targeted support from the cluster through referrals. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. We will also use our own case data to complete the picture of support that would be most useful. We are planning to implement this later in Term Three once we have managed the current ‘Waiting List’
Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Our main focus at the Term 2 SENCo/LSC PLD Day is Universal Design for Learning. All Clsuetr 9 SENCo/LSC are invited to attend this day.
Incredible Years Teacher Programme

Incredible Years Teacher and IYAT Incredible Years Autism continue to be provided to cluster Kaiako. The feedback from both these courses is very positive. I recommend you ensure you send the teachers you feel would benefit from this training. We are currently training additional facilitators in both programmes to support us in meeting schools’ need. Contact your Liaison RTLB if you have teachers you wish to participate in either of these training programmes as they come up. team and what services you provide.
